This week Gerald Hector welcomes Ambassador Andrew Young to "It's Easy Son." A civil rights leader and American icon, a former pastor, a former mayor of the city of Atlanta and a former Ambassador to the United Nations, Dr. Young shares his journey from his early childhood growing up in New Orleans.
In a reflective posture he shares some of his life's turning points, including the harsh conversation he had with a third grade classmate when he was in his junior year at Howard University that reminded him of the mantle that had been placed on him to carry. We also get a glimpse into his early life lessons from his father and "the talk" that most African American families are accustomed to giving their children.
