First Ever National HBCU Virtual Homecoming 2020 Celebration

Powered by HBCU Smart TV

In line with our commitment to continue to leverage our platform towards developing and producing New Media offerings to engage, inform and deliver value to the HBCU community, and in lieu of the recent decisions by HBCUs from all across the country to cancel traditional Homecoming festivities due to restrictions because of the COVID 19 pandemic, The HBCU Nation is excited to announce the National HBCU Virtual Homecoming 2020! This virtual celebration will air exclusively on The HBCU Nation’s Digital Media properties HBCU Smart TV and her sister station, HBCUiRadio during the entire month of October. Gates open every Thursday at 3:00 PM Eastern to jump off our weekly Tailgating parties! Special fun filled events each and every weekend wrapping up with Let’s Go to Church and a Gospel concert each Sunday!

Over the next few weeks, The HBCU Nation will announce celebrity participants, partnerships with HBCUs, Presidents/Chancellors, SWAC, MEAC, CIAA and SIAC Commissioners , Alumni, students, family and friends, to help make this one of a kind special event one that we will all cherish and remember! Each weekend features special tributes to fellow advocates including UNCF, TMCF, The Congressional Bi-Partisan HBCU Caucus, HBCU Brain Trust, The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, HBCU Digest, HBCU Connect, HBCU Gameday, HBCU Battle of the Brains, HBCU Money, HBCU Lifestyle, HBCU Buzz, Wear Our HBCU, HBCU Sirius XM 142, HBCU Story, HBCU Pride Nation, HBCU Campaign, HBCU Guru, HBCU Career Center, HBCU Champion and other colleagues committed to promoting HBCU Excellence, HBCU Innovation, and HBCU Sustainability!

Tom Joyner, long time HBCU champion and advocate, will be receiving the HBCU Nation’s Inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award…Shhhhhh!!! But don’t tell him… It’s supposed to be a surprise!
